Church Register He was living in 1901 in West Thurrock, Essex. Gas Fitter In 1905 Albert was a Grocer and General dealer. He died on 14 May 1952.⁵ Albert was buried in Horsham St Faith, Norwich, Norfolk.¹⁷⁵ Gravestone Inscribed "Albert Edward Fortescue 22 October 1952 Aged 76 Years also Nelli J Fortescue aged 76 years" Albert was named when Joan Sigsworth and Peter Waddington Fortescue visited George Fortescue at Irchester in 1996, but he did not appear on a family tree sent later by George. Details of birth and baptism were confirmed by Don & Bee Edge during their research in NRO.
Worked for Shell Mex in Woolverton Bucks & also at the railway works building carriages until 1932 when he moved to Newton Saint Faith with son Donald. They started a
motor repair business called The Crown Garage which is still trading (2005). David Edward Donald's son worked there but is now retired. Their house, which was previously a Public House, was next door to the garage. it was named Pashler House after Mary.

Albert ( Bert ) Edward FORTESCUE and Josehine Ellen (Nellie) SAYER were married on 25 December 1902 in St Phillips, Heigham, Norfolk.⁵ List from Gwen Eldred has the date as 23 Dec 1902 Josehine Ellen (Nellie) SAYER^5,175 was born about 1874 in New cross, London. She died on 23 April 1950. She was buried in Horsham St Faith, Norwich, Norfolk. List from Gwen Eldred has her surname as Sayers
