He was christened on 7 December 1825 in Leighton Bromswold, Hunts.¹⁰⁵ He appeared in the census in 1851 in Woolley, Hunts. Farmer of 230 acres aged 28 John died on 30 June 1868 in Woolley, Hunts. Died in th Morning at 10 am. He was buried on 3 July 1868.

John FORTESCUE of Woolley and Ellen THORP were married on 25 September 1852 in Woolley Church, Hunts.¹⁵⁰ Ellen THORP¹⁴⁹ was born in 1829 in Knotting, Beds.
