188. Richard FORTESCUE of Filleigh²⁴ was born in 1517. He died in 1570. Richard inherited the estates at Wear-Gifford, Combe, and elsewhere. He died on 30th June 1570 and is buried at the church in Filleigh. A brass in the church is to his memory.
