222. Francis FORTESCUE of Wood¹⁸ was born in 1598. He died on 6 April 1649. He was buried on 7 April 1649 in Woodleigh Church, Devon. Inscription on a marble stone upon the floor near rthe pulpit " Here lyeth the body of Francis Fortescu of Wood Esquire who dyed the 6 and was buried the 7 April ano Dom. 1649" Francis signed a will on 23 February 1649/50. He had his estate probated in P.C.C (Pembroke 21).
