46. Thomas FORTESCUE of Wimpstone¹ was born about 1486 in Wimpston, Modbury, Devon. He died in 1554. Thomas: According to Clermont's text Thomas was born in 1490 and died about 1554. The date 1595 for his death as shown on the Family Tree is hardly likely !! Could this be the date for Thomas's oldest son, also named Thomas?
