1049. Edward Carr FORTESCUE⁷⁹ was born about 1834. He emigrated in October 1852. He died on 8 May 1910 in Glebe, Sydney, NSW, Australia. Was one of a group of four children of John Fortescue who came to the goldfileds in Australia from Liverpool in 1852 on the "Lady Fitzherbert". He was aged 18 at the time. Sailed on the Admiral Lyons from Liverpool 18 June 1857 arrived Sydney 15 September 1857. He was aged 23, his wife Anne 19 together with infant Edward.

Edward Carr FORTESCUE and Ann Fortescue BAILEY were married on 25 December 1855 in Kensington, London. Ann Fortescue BAILEY³⁵ was born about 1838. She was born in March 1838 in Caxton, Cambridge. She died in 1907 in Glebe, Sydney, NSW, Australia.
