302. Edmund FORTESCUE of Falkbourne¹⁵ was born in 1566. He died in September 1596. He was buried on 27 September 1596. Edmund, son and heir of Francis, was born in 1566. He succeeded to
Falkborne. In 1583/4 he married Isabella, daughter of Sir Edmund
Huddleston. She died in September 1596. Their son John, who was born
in 1585, was made ward of Sir John Fortescue, Chancellor of the
Exchequer in July 1598.

William sold Falkborne Manor in about 1637, to the Bullock family. It
was still theirs in 1865.

N.B. Punsbourne Manor went to the Crown after 1563, and was granted by
Queen Elizabeth to Sir Henry Cock. Moore Hall Manor was sold in 1592
and all the Fortescue estates in Essex and Hertfordshire were sold by
Edmund, John, or William of Falkborn.
