Gravestone reads "This humble tribute of filial affection is erected to the memory of William Faithful Esq of the 27 Regiment of Foot who died at Mallow where he had for the recovery of his health on the 22nd of June 1821 in the 41 year of his age. He received a shot through the lungs in the Battle of Waterloo the 18th of June 1815 which in in his painful and lingering existence of which finally caused his death" Officer in Army died of his wounds from the Battle of Waterloo.
