1132. Mary FORTESCUE5,117,165 was born in 1840 in London.165,166 Mary Fortescue, daughter of the Hon George M Fortescue and Lady Louisa E Fortescue, was born in 1840 at 39 Grosvenor Square. Known to the family as "Minna" she was very close to her sisters Harriet and Elizabeth.

In 1884 she married the Rev. Vernon Harcourt Aldham who was the Rector at Boconnoc; they lived at the Rectory, Braddock, Lostnithiel. Her husband became Canon of Truro from 1889.

Mary was a frequent visitor to Shedfield House. There are a number of letters from her to her sister Harriet, to Augustus Phillimore and to her nephew Richard F Phillimore.
