843. Captain Matthew FORTESCUE RN⁸⁷ was born on 12 April 1754. He died on 19 November 1842 in 19 Devonshir Place. Matthew, Captain, RN was born on 12th April 1754. He was made a Lietentant in 1775, and in May 1778 he married Henrietta Archer, who died in 1794. He then married Henrietta Anne Hoare on 6th June 1795. He was made Captain in 1782 on retirement..

Captain Matthew FORTESCUE RN and Henrietta ARCHER were married on 16 November 1778 in St Marys, Portsea, Hants.⁵ Henrietta ARCHER⁸⁷ was born in 1754.¹¹⁸ She died in 1794. First name as Harriet in Visitations of the County of Devon. Given as
Henrietta in Clermont and Burke's and in memorial to her in Filleigh
Church.

Captain Matthew FORTESCUE RN and Henrietta ARCHER had the following children:

Captain Matthew FORTESCUE RN and Henrietta Anne HOARE obtained a marriage license on 5 June 1795.³⁶ They³⁶ were married on 6 June 1795. Henrietta Anne HOARE⁸⁷ was born on 3 November 1763. She was christened on 1 December 1763 in St Dunstan-in-The-West, London. She died on 5 September 1841 in Spain.⁵ Henrietta was buried in Barnes Church, Surrey.⁵ Scottish Artist
